It is a 5 hour drive to Grandma and Grandpa's house and Lilly had to have her sunglasses!
Our first stop was to see Great Grandma & Grandpa.
Lilly wanted to help Grandpa mow the lawn. None of us thought she would last very long but she ended up helping Grandpa with the entire back yard!
I don't know who enjoyed Grandma and Grandpa time better.....Jane or the grandparents!
Lilly played with Grandma's Matryoshka doll while Grandma read her the story. She also helped Grandma with Breakfast.
Jane found a cuddling buddy with her cousin Zaden.........
But no one can beat cuddling with Daddy!
We were able to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It is beautiful. It sits on a hill looking over the valley.
A few hours before we got there Angel Moroni was struck by lighting! Here is the proof. His trumpet, arm, and face are all black!
We happened to be driving past the equestrian park when they were having horse jumping competitions so we stopped to watch. We have only ever seen this in movies so it was fun to see it live.
It was a great get away. We were able to see 3 of Scott's 4 siblings and I was also able to see my friend Krissi and her family. Angie if you are reading this I am sorry we didn't make it to your house. I promise we will stop by on our next trip up north! So thank you Fred and Judy, we love coming to visit and that Lilly and Jane got some grandparent bonding time.

Wow, that is crazy the temple got struck by lightning. I guess that really shows it is the highest thing on the hill! You timed it just right to see the open house. Looks like fun!
hey hailey, thanks for the comments! and i would LOVE to do pictures anytime you're available and i'm available. we'll have to sit down and talk. i had so much fun just wandering around in the mountains taking pics of jamie and her fam. the week after the 4th would probably be ideal, unless you wanted to do a weekday thing this next week, tuesday or thursday might work. anyway, let me know what ya think.
also, i really enjoyed your quotes and your post about taking time. cried a little. i've been thinking a lot about that lately, that is one huge reason why i love taking pictures so much. you can freeze a perfect moment forever. that is actually why i put that new title on my blog 'take...time". i think pictures let you do that. i reget so many moments not enjoyed because i'm in a hurry to get to what's next, so thanks!
What beautiful little girls you have! And what a cute family you are. It's been way too long since we've seen you guys. We should plan to get together soon.
